01. Why should I choose an accompanied tour?
An accompanied tour gives you the opportunity to discover and visit the most remarkable sites, routes, and attractions without having to search for them yourself. Relaxation and enjoyment of the journey come first, since you don’t need to look for the scenic route with stunning nature and breathtaking views, the best tavern with delicious homemade dishes, or the accommodation where you’ll be welcomed with traditional Greek hospitality. We have already done all that for you, carefully filtering and selecting with strict criteria.
02. What is the maximum number of participants?
The groups we form consist of a maximum of 9 Beetles, with one or two people each. This way, we always have a flexible group of cars and guests, making it easy to bond into one big company!
03. How many hours of driving are there per day?
As a rule, we make sure not to exceed 100 to 120 kilometers per day. This distance corresponds to 3 to 4 hours of relaxed driving with plenty of stops.
04. What happens if my Beetle breaks down?
If the breakdown can be repaired by the tour leaders with the spare parts and tools they carry, within a reasonable time, then after a short stop the journey continues as normal.
In case of a breakdown that requires the complete immobilization of the Beetle, we provide, within a few hours, a replacement Beetle, which is always available in the wider area of our tour.
05. Do BugsOnTour provide any kind of travel insurance?
Apart from liability and insolvency insurance, we do not offer travel insurance. You can arrange this yourself through an insurance agency. Usually, if you pay for your trip with a credit card, the card issuer automatically provides you with travel insurance.
06. What happens if I want to cancel my participation?
Of course, you may cancel your participation at any time. The cancellation must be communicated to us in writing. Depending on the type of tour and the timing of the cancellation notice, the following terms apply:
For tours lasting 1 to 3 days:
Up to 30 calendar days before the start date of the tour: full refund of the amount paid.
From 29 to 10 calendar days before the start date of the tour: refund of 50% of the amount paid.
From 9 days up to and including the start date of the tour: no refund of the amount paid.
For tours lasting 8 days:
Up to 90 calendar days before the start date of the tour: full refund of the amount paid.
From 89 to 30 calendar days before the start date of the tour: refund of 50% of the amount paid.
From 29 days up to and including the start date of the tour: no refund of the amount paid.
07. Are pets allowed on the tours?
For technical and organizational reasons, pets are not allowed on our tours.
08. What happens if I cause damage to the Beetle that was given to me?
The settlement is made through a security deposit, which is blocked (for about 10–15 days) on the participant’s credit card at the start of the tour. In the contract signed by both parties, there is a clear list of damage costs, and based on this, the compensation amount is calculated.
